More than a quarter of British households are facing heavy pressure to pay their power and heating bills, which rose nearly twice as much as forecast last month, with high levels of inflation in the country and families unable to afford the costs of heating and lighting their homes.

According to a study prepared and published by the British newspaper The Times today, British families will face spending pressures this year, which may reach 3000 pounds, as high energy bills will push inflation to record levels, which economists believe may exceed the highest level in 30 years, with expectations of the advent of (A Terrible Nissan) on British households forced the Center for Economics and Business Research to reassess its already bleak forecast less than a month after it was made.

Experts expect, according to the newspaper, that the basic spending of families will rise by 2440 pounds than it was at the beginning of the Corona epidemic, and families will face an additional burden represented in raising the National Insurance by 600 pounds and other tax increases that will burden families in the coming period.

The Resolution Foundation warned that nearly one in three British families may soon struggle to heat their homes and expects more than a quarter of families to reach "fuel poverty" when energy bills rise in April.

The foundation said that the number of families that spend at least 10 percent of their budgets on gas and electricity may triple to 6.3 million families when the price ceiling rises at a time when 9 percent of families suffer from “fuel pressure”, which is the definition of energy bills that cannot be reached. bear it, the newspaper reported.

Experts also expect this percentage to rise to 27 percent, amid expectations that the ceiling on energy prices may rise more than 50 percent in April.

"Rising gas prices are driving up energy bills and will see the number of families struggling with fuel pressure triple to more than six million this summer," said Johnny Marshall, chief economist at Resolution.

Forecasts include utility bills and transportation costs as well as spending on food, drink, clothing and entertainment, and last month's figures showed inflation was 5.1 percent.

Laura Sutter, head of personal finance at investment firm IGBl, said: “The cost of living has become so tight that rising costs on top of tax increases will leave many families struggling to pay for necessities each month... and the poorest families will not be affected. Only everyone feels the effect of the price hike.”
