Swedish royal palace conceals further corona cases

The palace announced the corona disease of the monarch and crown princess couple promptly, and now further cases in the royal family are coming to light.

Stockholm – With the help of tightened measures, Sweden wants to slow down the increasing number of new infections, the corona wave has also affected the royal family there.

In the course of the rapidly spreading omicron variant, several royals were infected with the virus, as reported by 24royal.de, but the palace apparently did not make all corona cases public.

Within a few days, the Swedish royal family had to cure both King Carl XVI and King Carl XVI.

Gustaf (75) and Queen Silvia (78) as well as the positive test result from Crown Princess Victoria (44) and Prince Daniel (48) to report.

Shortly after the turn of the year, the busy quartet contracted the corona virus, and around the same time other family members had to be quarantined due to an infection.

Princess Christina (78) and her husband Tord Magnuson (80) have also been infected with Corona.

As Magnuson confided to the magazine "Svensk Damtidning", the couple has now recovered from their corona disease: "We tested positive, but we are now healthy and feel good.

[…] We were in quarantine for a week, but it felt like a cold.

We have been vaccinated three times, that certainly played a role. ”The two suspect that they could have been infected during New Year's Eve celebrations.

Swedish Royal Palace: 2022 has a turbulent start

Christina and Tord's start to the new year was not only overshadowed by their corona infection, the couple recently lost a loved one.

Per Magnuson (77, † 2022), Princess Christina's brother-in-law and friend of King Carl Gustaf, died in early January.

Princess Christina is the youngest of the four older sisters of the Swedish regent Carl XVI.
