Tarn: the body of a missing woman found in a river

The victim had not been found since January 9. Her son's body was found a few days ago on the same river.


The body of a woman, who had been missing for more than a week after a walk with her son around Mazamet, in the Tarn, was found on Monday January 17 by the gendarmes in a river, the prosecution said. AFP.

On January 10, it was the body of a 21-year-old young man, his son, who had been fished out near a hydraulic power station on the same Thoré river, downstream from the place of the presumed accidental drowning.

Without news of his wife and son, it was the father who alerted the gendarmes on January 9.

The 51-year-old mother's car was found in an area designed for walkers not far from the river.
