Health Minister Nitzan Horowitz today (Monday) spoke out strongly against the plea deal between opposition leader Benjamin Netanyahu and Attorney General Avichai Mandelblit.
"The words deal and Netanyahu do not go in the same sentence, whoever made deals with him fell. For him, everything is 'sticks and tricks,'" Meretz chairman said at the faction meeting.
"Netanyahu claimed that cases were sewn for him and that there was nothing, and now he wants a deal. I hear all the speculation that the plea deal will undermine the stability of the government. Propose not to gamble on scenarios. This government works in greater cooperation than all governments," Horowitz added.
Transport Minister Merav Michaeli: "We believe that justice should be done and seen. In any case and more importantly rest your mind, the government will continue to do a good job regardless of these developments. We have been proving for months that it is possible to work right and left. I have full confidence that this will continue."
