When we tell you that medical deserts represent a real problem in France, we are not lying to you.
The situation is sometimes so desperate that the mayors of these villages deserted by doctors are ready for anything, even calling on Francis Cabrel to round up GPs in Lot-et-Garonne.
And two years of health crisis have not helped.
Faced with a problem that affects a third of French municipalities, in the rural world but not only, the government is taking lots of initiatives to encourage young doctors to settle where they are needed.
Without necessarily having much success.
