Before the Court of Appeal. Albanonte and Pinatone (ANSA) will be heard

The trial investigation is reopened before the Perugia Court of Appeal for the second degree trial relating to the repatriation of Alma Shalabayeva, the wife of the Kazakh dissident Mukhtar Ablyazov, expelled to Kazakhstan in 2013 together with her daughter Alua.

The Court, after more than three hours in the council chamber, accepted the defense's request to call the former Rome prosecutor, Giuseppe Pignatone, the prosecutor Eugenio Albanonte and the then deputy prosecutor Nello Rossi to testify in the courtroom.

The judges, on the other hand, did not accept the request of one of the defenses to hear the former councilor of the CSM Luca Palamara as a witness. Not even accepted by the College the defense request to record the parliamentary questions on the matter and the relative answers, including that of the deputy of the Democratic Party Carmelo Miceli to which the undersecretary of the Interior Nicola Molteni replied. "They are not considered indispensable - said the president of the court Paolo Micheli - since they are assessments already expressed in the inspection and therefore already in the records". The hearing was therefore postponed to next April 4 to hear the testimonies of the three magistrates.
