A snowstorm swept the east coast of the United States of America, canceling thousands of flights and cutting power for more than 100,000 homes, shops and businesses.
And Reuters news agency quoted the FlightWire service to track flights as saying: It was today canceled or postponed more than 2,200 flights, while more than 128,000 homes and companies without electricity from Georgia to Maine.
Mark Shenard, an expert in the National Weather Service, said there are expectations that the storm will be accompanied by 20 to 30 centimeters of snow.
