The Ukrainian public prosecutor's office asked a court on Monday January 17 for the detention of ex-president and billionaire Petro Poroshenko, except for the payment of a deposit of around 30 million euros.

During the hearing, a representative of the prosecution requested that the release of the Ukrainian opponent, accused of "
high treason
", be accompanied by a bail of one billion hryvnias (about 30 million euros) as well as wearing an electronic bracelet.
