Women's record in the position of Colonel: Third senior officer in the elite unit of the Armed Forces
Colonel C has been appointed Chief of Staff 8200 and thus there will be three women with the rank of Colonel in the unit.

In a placement discussion held last week led by the head of the intelligence division, Major General Aharon Haliva, it was decided to appoint Colonel C to the position of Corporal 8200. This makes her the third officer with the rank of colonel in the unit, and will continue promoting women to senior positions in the intelligence division.
As part of its role as the 8200th Infantry Regiment, which it will enter in the coming months, it will be responsible for building the unit's force, with a unique emphasis on developing the quality and unique human resource in 8200 and maintaining functional continuity and strengthening operational capability.

Colonel C is a highly experienced officer, coming from a wide range of positions in the Air Force, Planning Division and Personnel Division. The force in a wide variety of areas, as well as advancing the technological and intelligence manpower in Unit 8200.
Colonel C will join two additional colonels in the unit, Deputy Commander of Digital, Colonel C and Head of the Cyber Center in the unit, Colonel L.
In the past year, a new record of 47 women with the rank of colonel in the IDF was recorded.
For comparison, two years ago there were 39 and in 2016 there were 24 women in this rank.
In the last five years, the percentage of women in all major rankings has increased from 25% to 29%, and the number of women has increased by about 30%.
