Earthquake on the planet video games.

Microsoft announced Tuesday its intention to buy the American video game giant Activision-Blizzard for the record sum of nearly 69 billion dollars (61 billion euros).

Microsoft Gaming CEO Phil Spencer made the news official in a post on the official blog.

The Seattle giant thus gets its hands on a fantastic catalog of successful franchises such as Call of Duty, World of Warcraft, Candy Crush, or even Guitar Hero and the great classic, Crash Bandicoot.

That's hundreds of millions of players on consoles, PCs and smartphones.

Activision's stock soared more than 37% on Wall Street after the announcement, in electronic trading prior to the opening of trading, and was suspended.
