The "WOR tolerant" initiative again formed a counterpoint to the "walkers" in Wolfratshausen on Monday.

Another event ended without having started.

Wolfratshausen – Despite a seven-day incidence beyond the 800 mark and outside temperatures just above freezing: The group “WOR tolerant”, whose Facebook page now has more than 360 fans, mobilized hundreds of citizens on Monday evening for the second time in a row, a counterpoint to form the so-called walkers. In the city center, specifically on the Sebastianisteg and along the banks to the right and left of the Loisach, around 300 people set a sign for democracy and solidarity, according to the police. According to the police count, around 950 people took part in the seventh "walk" through the Loisachstadt, which was again not registered. When asked by our newspaper on Tuesday morning, operations manager Christina Loy, deputy chief of the Wolfratshausen police, spoke of a “peaceful course” of the rallies.

Wolfratshausen: Three speakers go to the microphone for "WOR tolerant".

For the first time, the "WOR tolerant" initiative won speakers for its demonstration: Dr.

Josef Orthuber, chief anesthetist at the district clinic in Wolfratshausen, Marius Schlosser, member of the district executive committee of the Greens, and the Münsingen family doctor Dr.

Jörg Lohse, medical coordinator of pandemic control in the district.

Orthuber reported that after "two years of state of emergency" in the district clinic, "a slight improvement" can currently be felt.

For Orthuber, vaccination is “the only viable way out of the corona pandemic”.

In the face of protests and counter-protests, the doctor appealed to "mindfulness and mutual consideration".

Marius Schlosser, who works for Karl Bär, member of the Greens in the Bundestag from the constituency of Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen/Miesbach, gave a categorical rejection of "conspiracy myths" and "anti-democratic rhetoric".

But: In the context of the fight against corona, there are “criticisms” that can be discussed.

But "scientific knowledge must not be denied".

And: You have to “keep your distance from extremist forces.”

Only ten potential participants: Attorney Hingerl does not open the meeting

The lawyer and golf course operator Dr. Josef Hingerl had reported an event in Wolfratshausen to the district office for Monday evening. Hingerl, who is known as a sharp critic of many corona measures and recently declared that he could be vaccinated "when I'm dead", says he wanted to build a bridge between "walkers" and the counter-demonstrators. According to the police, however, only ten people gathered behind Hingerl's flag around 6:30 p.m. The "WOR tolerant" initiative had already distanced itself from Hingerl in advance, and the lawyer was apparently out of the question as a mediator for the so-called walkers. "Dr. Hingerl didn't open his meeting, so it didn't take place," said the head of police operations, Chief Inspector Christina Loy, on site.

Hingerl himself saw it differently.

He strayed through the city center and greeted the “walkers” in a friendly way.

The lawyer, who encourages doctors to vaccinate children, dictated to our newspaper in the block: The "walk" was his event, he was marching through the city "to visit the people" and "to entertain me". .

"I will not discuss with you here" why he did not open his planned meeting.

He welcomes the "living democracy" this Monday evening in Wolfratshausen.

Period.

State security: No evidence of "extreme groups"

Both head of operations Loy and Steffen Frühauf, first chief inspector and head of the state security commissariat of the Kripo Weilheim, explained on site when asked by our newspaper: There is currently no evidence that "extreme groups" would infiltrate the "walks" in the rafting town. As reported, the "WOR tolerant" initiative, which includes Konrad Huber, Ines and Peter Lobenstein and Dr. Ulrike Krischke counts, and three representatives of the "walkers", who are not known by name, emphasized in a joint press statement last Friday: "We distance ourselves from violence and extremism of any kind."

In his speech from the Sebastianisteg, family doctor Jörg Lohse admitted that the “polarization” “makes him and many people afraid”.

He is convinced that the omicron variant of the corona virus is a "game changer".

The rapidly spreading infection with omicron, coupled with vaccinations, could lead to a rapidly increasing basic immunity of the population and thus relieve the health system.

Presumably by Easter, according to Lohse, "we will no longer offer a target for the virus".

However, if at this point in time Corona measures critics and supporters "still stand on two sidewalks, separated from the police", says Münsinger, "we have done something wrong".

Lohse pointed out that he, his practice team and many colleagues were now being attacked: "I don't ask for applause, but respect." In the face of around 300 people demonstrating for tolerance and solidarity along the Loisach, Lohse exclaimed: "I'm happy that so many have come to overcome the poison of the pandemic in all its facets." As a musical sign of standing together, "WOR tolerant" played Beethoven's ode "To Joy".

"All men will be brothers," was Schiller's wish, whose poem Beethoven set to music.

Police: Young man thinks he's "insanely funny"

In the ranks of the "walkers" there was again no leader of the meeting on Monday evening. Officially, it was an "unannounced meeting", Chief Inspector Loy instructed the participants at the starting point of the "walk" near the Nantwein cemetery. From there, the entourage moved to the Obermarkt, where the march turned into a static protest rally for several minutes. Shortly after 7 p.m., the "walkers" scattered again to the four winds, about 80 of them still had enough strength in their legs to do an additional lap through Eurasburg.

From the point of view of the police, with one exception, there were no significant incidents.

On Monday evening, a young man popped a balloon near the youth center La Vida, which borders on the old raft landing site, just as “walkers” and counter-demonstrators approached in the dark of the evening.

"He must have thought it was hilarious," said Operations Manager Loy.

The man benefited from a so-called threat speech, before the police recorded his personal details.
