Unlike in the previous weeks, there was no large crowd in Tölzer Marktstraße on Monday.

The “walkers” reoriented themselves at short notice.

Bad Tölz/Lenggries

– Unlike in the previous weeks, there was no large crowd on Tölzer Marktstrasse on Monday.

The so-called walkers had made an appointment at short notice to move to other places with their protests against the Corona policy.

In Lenggries, the police found around 450 participants using a click counter.

According to the officials, around 100 people walked through the village in Reichersbeuern.

About 200 “walkers” gathered in Bad Tölz.

The number of counter-demonstrators remained manageable at around 50.

Counter-demo with speeches over loudspeakers

While the "walkers" had again not registered their events and did not reveal any content to the outside world, the counter-demonstrators broadcast their speeches over loudspeakers.

The content consisted on the one hand of calls for vaccinations, on the other hand of warnings to the "walkers" to consciously or unconsciously associate themselves with right-wing extremists or lateral thinkers.

"We are here because a large part of the so-called walkers see a regime in our government and their criticism is partly based on fake news," said Sebastian Gareis.

He wanted to “absolutely prevent” compulsory vaccination himself, he said.

But at the long-awaited end of the pandemic and the measures, vaccination is “the only tool”.

Calls for vaccination and unity

Green district councilor Teresa Wimmer read a letter from Susanne Reichhardt-Geisbauer, a doctor at the Wolfratshausen district clinic.

She urged people to get vaccinated out of solidarity.

"The probability of side effects from the vaccination is infinitesimally small compared to the probability of becoming seriously ill with corona."

SPD district councilor Filiz Cetin accused the “walkers” of “endangering not only themselves but also many others without a mask, without a safety distance, without coordinating escape routes”.

She concluded with a call for unity: "The enemy is not the family member, neighbor, colleague, politician or scientist who does not share your opinion, but the virus."

In a humorous way, ten participants in a vigil of the satirical party "The Party" approached the subject at the Winzerer monument.

On a leaflet they addressed the “walkers” with the words: “We don't know whether we are for or against your demands.

We don't know your demands.

Tell us why you're walking here.” They had a registration form for meetings and offered to help fill it out.

"Walkers" catch up on their demonstration in Bad Tölz on Tuesday

Since no "walkers" were present at the time of the "vigil", the offered dialogue did not take place.

"If they don't come today, then we have successfully de-pacified Tölz," joked district chairman Klaus Krämer.

However, the critics of the Corona measures then wanted to catch up on the train through Bad Tölz the following day: They called for a “walk” in Bad Tölz on Tuesday evening in telegram groups.
