Positive corona rapid test?

Then isolation and PCR test follow.

Omicron is rampant in the Freising district.

The district office explains what those affected have to consider who receive a positive test result.

District

– “The number of corona infections has also increased rapidly in the Freising district in the past few days,” reports Robert Stangl, spokesman for the Freising district office.

"The next wave now also has the district firmly under control." Within a week, the seven-day incidence has more than doubled and was 748.1 on Tuesday.

(By the way: everything from the region is now also available in our regular Freising newsletter.)

According to Stangl, the contact tracing team (CTT) of the health department had already been massively increased in terms of personnel, and it is now staffed with over 50 people.

“They are working flat out to contact people who have tested positive.

Nevertheless, due to the number of cases, it is currently no longer possible to call all those affected on a daily basis.

Positive PCR test

  • Affected persons are obliged to go into

    domestic isolation

    .

  • In addition, they should inform household members and other close contacts in the last two days before the positive test was taken or the symptoms began in the private and professional environment about

    the infection

    and ask

    them to reduce their contacts

    .

Important: Information provided by an index case (infected person) is not an official quarantine order.

Nevertheless, the health department recommends all contact persons to reduce their own contacts as much as possible and to be tested to be on the safe side.

  • Isolation

    ends after ten days

if the person has been symptom-free for at least 48 hours.

A final test or contact by the health department is not necessary.

  • There is a possibility to

    shorten the isolation period

: If those affected have been symptom-free for at least 48 hours, they can test themselves free with a PCR test or rapid antigen test (carried out by a healthcare professional or a trained person) on day 7 of isolation at the earliest.

If the negative result was sent by email to fallschluss-ctt@kreis-fs.de, you can leave the isolation on your own the following day.

A response from the CTT is not required to end the isolation.

Positive antigen rapid test

  • Anyone who receives the result of a positive antigen rapid test carried out by specialist staff must also immediately go into domestic isolation and make an appointment for a PCR test immediately in order to reliably confirm the test result.

This is possible, among other things, at the test center in the Freisinger Luitpoldanlage.

You can register and book an appointment at www.coronatest-fs.de.

  • If the result is negative, the isolation ends.

    Otherwise, the above regulations apply

Positive self test

  • Even those who carry out a self-test for the coronavirus and get a positive result should isolate themselves immediately and avoid contact with other people as much as possible and make an appointment for a PCR test to confirm the test result with certainty.

  • If no result of the PCR test is available by then, the isolation ends five days after the test.

Evidence for recovered

People infected with corona receive a digital “recovery certificate” after their isolation has ended by presenting their positive PCR result in most pharmacies.

According to current regulations, such a certificate is valid from the 28th day and for a maximum of 90 days after infection.

Cost of PCR tests

PCR tests carried out in the test center in the Freisinger Luitpoldanlage are always free of charge, but can only be made available to people who are entitled to them under the federal test ordinance.

Paid PCR tests cannot be carried out there, and the district office cannot reimburse test costs at private test centers.

Rules for contact persons

Bavaria implemented the federal government's shortened quarantine and isolation rules in the adaptation of the general isolation order on January 14th.

As a result of the adjustment, different regulations no longer apply to the different virus variants.

This means that the following people who have been classified as close contacts are exempt from the quarantine obligation:

  • Close contacts who are fully vaccinated against Covid-19 and have received a booster

    shot (“boosters”)

  • close contacts who have recovered from PCR test-confirmed Covid-19 disease

    and have been fully vaccinated

or have recovered from PCR test-confirmed Covid-19 disease after full vaccination,

  • Close contacts who have been fully (twice) vaccinated if the second vaccination was at least 15 days and no more than 90 days ago,

  • Close contacts who have recovered from a SARS-CoV-2 infection confirmed by a PCR test if the underlying test was at least 28 days and no more than 90 days ago.

Due to the currently high number of cases and the associated burden on the CTT, contact persons of people infected with corona should not actively contact the health department, but should limit contacts independently for the next ten days if possible.
