The titles of books within the comprehensive book fair organized by the Fine Artists Union branch in Homs varied between literary, scientific, philosophical, historical and children's literature to meet the tastes of a wide and varied segment of the reading audience.
The exhibition, which was held in cooperation with the Zenobia Cultural Foundation and hosted by the Union Hall, included, according to the head of the branch of the Fine Artists Union in Homs, Emil Farha, about 3,000 titles specialized in genres of literature, including stories, novels, critical studies, educational aids for children and other books on scientific topics.
Farha pointed out that the exhibition is the first for this year and lasts for ten days and comes within the union's plan to integrate culture with the arts, while ensuring that there are new and diverse titles every time.
In turn, Sawsan Khabbaz, director of the Zenobia Cultural Foundation, indicated the cooperation with several publishing houses from Damascus, Homs, Sweida and Aleppo to enrich the exhibition with new distinctive titles and encouraging prices for the acquisition of books, pointing out that the Union Hall was chosen because it is in the city center and is frequented by a wide audience of intellectuals and those interested in literature.
A number of visitors to the exhibition expressed their admiration for the diversity and richness of the books on display, which satisfies the readers' passion and provides them with a wide scope for information and acquisition.
