The march of academic, scientific and professional excellence of Engineer Muhammad Yassin culminated in winning first place for his “Free Charge” project in the open university projects category in the “Tamayouz” competition that was recently concluded in Damascus, where the project relied on generating electricity in a simple way depending on the energy available in every home and facility.

Yassin, specializing in electrical energy engineering and owner of a start-up company in the ICT incubator at the branch of the Syrian Scientific Informatics Society in Latakia 9 months ago, explained in an interview with SANA Youth Bulletin that the idea of his project “simple hydro turbine” depends on generating electricity using the pressure of fluid flow in the water network of the house, and that Through a simple turbine that is installed on the water tank, its principle of operation depends mainly on the pressure and abundance of the flowing water.

He pointed out that the academic studies he conducted on his project included generating different levels of energy, ranging from lighting a small house or operating lighting and television devices to large facilities, including hospitals and hotels, where the project contributes to generating between 20 and 30 percent of its electrical energy and the higher the tank was Productivity is greater.

Yassin explained that the most prominent feature of his project is the availability of the parts used to install the turbine in the local market, and the product is guaranteed, has minor malfunctions, is reasonable in price, and has a life span of up to 10 years.

In turn, the engineer, Maryam Jawdat Fayoud, head of the Latakia branch of the Syrian Scientific Informatics Society, pointed out that the ICT incubator of the association provides logistical support and, in some cases, material support for outstanding student projects, along with all the equipment necessary for the success of the work, with the aim of enabling young people to transform their creative ideas into applied products. marketable.

In order to enhance the standards of quality and production.

It is noteworthy that Eng. Mohamed Yassin's team had previously won fourth place in the same competition for the oxygen generation project, and in the following year it achieved third place for the cold sterilizer project.
