The authorities said that since the positive test cases who had lived in the three buildings mentioned above were found today, which showed that a variant virus strain was involved, the risk of infection in the relevant areas was likely to be higher after assessment.

The authorities decided to announce restrictions and testing in the relevant areas, and set up temporary sampling stations in the "restricted areas" to require people to be tested.

The test time limit for Ka Shing House in Ka Lung Court is 11:00 tonight, the time limit for Mei Foo New Village is 0:00 a.m. tomorrow (19th), and the time limit for Yingwan Garden is 1:00 a.m. tomorrow.

Those who are inspected will be arranged to undergo nucleic acid testing at the sampling station, and a combined throat and nasal cavity swab will be collected by a designated person.

Before all people have test results, the tested persons must stay in the premises to reduce the risk of cross-infection, and the authorities will arrange door-to-door sampling for the disabled and the elderly.
