The investigation committee was headed by Brigadier General (Res.) Guy Hasson and its findings were presented to the family and Chief of Staff Aviv Kochavi.

Alongside the committee, a medical subcommittee headed by the head of the medical branch at the Center for Medical Services, Lt. Col. Dr. Sharon Ohayon, operated.

According to the IDF Spokesman, from the committee's conclusions and the tools available to it, the cause of death could not be determined with certainty. The committee found that the doctor of the Nahal Brigade responded quickly upon his arrival to the late Colonel Sharon Asman, within minutes of his collapse, and that he began immediate resuscitation operations with the assistance of the Magen David Adom (MDA) team that arrived at the scene. The committee found that it was appropriate to integrate a resuscitation device (defibrillator) at an earlier stage in the resuscitation process, while there is no guarantee that the results of the unfortunate event would have been avoided.

It should be noted that in the gym where the event took place, there was no obligation to place such a device.

The committee also found that MDA is the most available medical response to rear-end military bases located adjacent to urban centers - such as the Beit Lahal camp near Lt. Gen. Mota Gur, as defined in the ordinances, and therefore recommended refreshing and practicing ways to contact Med "A.
