A 43-year-old Pakistani woman who had been quarantined at the Silka Seaview Hotel in Yau Ma Tei and was later confirmed to be cross-infected due to insufficient ventilation set off another chain of transmission, and the group continued to expand. Two students studying at (Broadway), one of them is more suspected of infecting another classmate during the exam in the class room, and all students in the same class room need to be quarantined.

The school issued an urgent notice today, announcing that face-to-face teaching will be suspended for 14 days, and the exam will be postponed until the 14th of next month.


In addition, the authorities suspect that vertical transmission has occurred in Dongmanlou, Tai Hang Tung Village, where the confirmed patient lives. The child tested negative on the day of the enclosure at Dongmanlou last Saturday (15th), and his classmates do not know whether they need to be quarantined.
