The defendant, Xu Junxian (29 years old), admitted that on July 30, 2021, he cruelly treated two short-haired domestic cats in a village house in Shun Fung Wai, Castle Peak Road, Tuen Mun, or acted or failed to act indiscriminately or unreasonably. This behavior would result in any unnecessary suffering to the two shorthaired domestic cats.
Cat owner is friend of accused girlfriend
According to the case, the defendant lived with his girlfriend, and the two cats involved in the case, respectively female and male, were temporarily fostered by his girlfriend's friend in their home.
On the day of the incident, the defendant's girlfriend went home after visiting her mother in Tin Shui Wai and found that the female cat had cut marks on the tail of the female cat and blood stains in her urine.
The girlfriend then took the cat to the group "Pampering Home" for care and inspection, and reported the incident to the Society for the Protection of Animals.

The defendant was later arrested and warned that he was building a model on the table at the time of the crime, when two cats suddenly jumped on the table, and he cut the female cat's tail with a 15-centimeter-long knife and threw the male cat at him. wall.
After examination, it was found that the female cat had a 1 cm wound on the right side of the tail, while the male cat had no obvious injury, but had symptoms of upper respiratory tract infection.
