A father pressed the gas too hard.

With his children on board, he raced on the autobahn near Fürth - more than twice as fast as allowed.

He got a hefty fine for that.

Fürth – At 172 km/h, a family man boarded the A73 motorway near Fürth late in the evening on Sunday, January 16 – more than twice as fast as allowed.

Because the speed limit at this point was 80 km/h.

When officers stopped the car, the speeder offered a flimsy excuse.
