Firefighters free injured woman from car wreck

Ohlstadt – A serious traffic accident, in which two people were injured, occurred on Tuesday, January 18, on federal highway 2 near the junction to Ohlstadt.
According to the police, the incident, which resulted in a larger deployment of rescue organizations, happened around 12:40 p.m.
A 56-year-old woman from Ohlstadt wanted to turn her Seat onto the main road – to the left in the direction of Garmisch-Partenkirchen.
She overlooked the right-of-way Mercedes, which was being driven by a 35-year-old man from Weilheim.
The man tried to dodge, but crashed the car head-on into the driver's side of the seat.
The woman was trapped inside.
The alarmed fire brigades from Ohlstadt and Eschenlohe came with 23 helpers.
The woman was finally freed from the wreckage using hydraulic rescue equipment.
To do this, rescue workers had to remove the doors on the driver's side and cut out the B-pillar.
The woman was seriously injured, the Mercedes driver slightly injured.
The BRK rescue service took care of the two and brought them to the accident clinic in Murnau.
The vehicles were totaled, which the police estimate at around 8,500 euros.
The main road had to be blocked on one side for about an hour.
The police and fire brigade set up traffic regulations for this purpose.
