Four people were killed and 16 injured today in two separate fires in the US states of New York and Wisconsin.

And "AP" quoted the New York State Fire Department as saying that one person was killed and nine others were injured, including five policemen, in a gas explosion in a building on Fox Street in the Bronx neighborhood of New York, which led to a fire and the building collapse.

For his part, the Kenosha area fire chief in Wisconsin said in a statement that "a fire broke out in a building in the area, which resulted in two victims after the fire broke out on the western side of it, while a third died after arriving at the hospital," noting that seven others were injured in the fire.
