It should not remain the last branch in Munich.

The managing director of a gastro chain from the state capital reveals his plans.

Munich – With schnitzel to the top: The Munich gastro chain HeimWerk has opened its third store in the state capital.

From now on, guests in the Tal 15 branch can feast on all kinds of schnitzel - sustainable, regional and with meat from animal welfare.

Other restaurants are to follow.

Munich: Gastro chain opens another branch - "Want to appeal to the new enjoyment generation"

"We want to appeal to people from a new, conscious generation of pleasure-seekers who value more than just having a portion of meat on their plate," says Managing Director Archibald Graf von Keyserlingk.

HeimWerk is an official supporter of Slow Food - an association that focuses on high quality and the respectful handling of food.

You will look in vain for artificial additives or ready meals on the menu.

The avoidance of waste is also a top priority.

For example, each dish can be ordered in two sizes and is then combined with side dishes.

Fans of alpine cuisine (including vegan ones) are in seventh schnitzel heaven here: In addition to the classic veal (from nine euros), there are hemp schnitzel from chicken (from 8.50 euros), mushroom schnitzel (from 6.50 euros) or vegan celery schnitzel (from 10 euros). EUR 4.50), accessories such as potato salad start at EUR 3.50.

Backhendl or Kaiserschmarrn are also served – with Munich beer and cocktails.

New branch in a former tavern: "There's still room for improvement in Munich"

In 2016, HeimWerk opened the first shop on Friedrichstrasse in Schwabing, followed by the second in the Glockenbachviertel (Müllerstrasse).

The Munich schnitzel makers had been looking for a third branch for a long time – and found what they were looking for in the former Wirtshaus zum Stiftl.

As in the other branches, there is a water station for self-tapping free of charge and desired insights into the kitchen.

The furnishings: natural and modern.

HeimWerk already has a shop in Düsseldorf.

And now wants to take off: "We were geared towards growth right from the start," says von Keyserlingk.

He plans to open two to three new stores a year across Germany: "There's room for improvement in Munich, too."
