Baden-Württemberg's Prime Minister Winfried Kretschmann does not yet want to promise any relaxation of the corona rules, despite the foreseeable milder course of the disease in the omicron variant.
"Of course I can imagine that.
I don't know yet whether they will come," said the Green politician on Tuesday in Stuttgart.
It is clear, however, that the state government will have to set up “new rules” with the next regulation at the beginning of February.
Stuttgart - The data on the consequences of the Omicron variant for the health system are not yet reliable, explained Kretschmann.
The first trends showed that there were less severe courses.
"This is a trend that is of course extremely gratifying if it comes true."

Kretschmann was concerned about the simultaneously increasing incidences.
If the number of infections increases significantly, the currently more relaxed situation in the intensive care units could worsen again.
He was skeptical as to whether the necessary data would be available at the prime ministers' conference early next week.
However, the government must revise the current tier system.
The freezing of alert level II with severe restrictions, especially for the unvaccinated, could not be "permanent".
Health Minister Manne Lucha (Greens) explained that the burden on the health system would be retained as a central criterion for the new corona rules.
