Over the past two days, delegations from Latin America visited the Syrian pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai.
The delegations, including Bernando Noval, Deputy Commissioner-General of the Mexico Pavilion, Jose Basila, Director of the Guatemala Pavilion, Diplomat Carlotta Pasques, and Raquel Orsco Tapia, Commissioner-General of the Bolivia Pavilion, were briefed on the exhibits in the various sections of the pavilion.
The director of the pavilion, Eng. Khaled Al-Shama’a, drew the attention of the visiting delegations to the importance of the “I am the Syrian” section and the “Letters to the Future” section, which embodies the artworks of 1,500 Syrian families from different parts of the world, and the richness and diversity their paintings represent.
Manaf Arnous, coordinator of the commercial department in the Syrian pavilion, also stressed the importance of strengthening trade relations with friendly countries through conducting commercial meetings and introducing Syrian products.
It is worth noting that the Syrian pavilion has attracted, since its inception, delegations and representatives from many countries and organizations participating or visiting the exhibition, and it plays its role in introducing Syrian culture and arts.
Yesterday evening, the pavilion held an evening about jewelry making presented by the famous Syrian jewelry designer Maha Al-Sibai, who presented her collection called "Al-Yasmina of Damascus", which represents a message of love to Damascus, which suffered from terrorism and deprivation. And the bridge that brings together her mother country, Syria, and the United Arab Emirates.
In turn, the Commissioner-General of the Syrian pavilion, Dr. Ghassan Abbas, stressed that the pavilion constitutes a platform for all successful and distinguished Syrians, calling on them to benefit from it during the Expo 2020 Dubai period.
