The Director of the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service, Sergey Naryshkin, stressed that his country is extremely interested in good-neighborly relations with Ukraine.
Today, Sputnik quoted Naryshkin as saying: “Russia has done a lot for Ukraine to become an independent state, and of course we are most interested in good-neighborliness with it and in building close, intense and constructive relations for both sides.”
In statements to a number of its officials over the past weeks, Russia confirmed its rejection of the accusations and allegations made by Western countries and the Ukrainian authorities about its intention to wage war on Ukraine, considering it as a pretext to deploy more NATO military equipment near the Russian borders.
