To my great joy, I got to check out her unique gaming set that includes the world's smartest headphones (apparently), the Nura and their special gaming cable, and I can only point out that the headphones spoiled me, because despite some uncharacteristic things that can usually detract from the experience of using such headphones , I just can not stop using the product.

First of all, a brief explanation

The Nuraphone headphones are very strange and special headphones. They were developed as a Kickstarter (the most successful in Australia) set up by an Australian doctor and sound engineer who took the hearing test mechanism from the world of medicine and somehow managed to put it inside a set of wireless headphones.

The headphones send sound waves at different frequencies that go into the user's ears, and on the tip of the headphones there are small microphones that pick up the sound frequencies that came back from the user's ears, and by signing those frequencies, the headphones know how the user's ears like to hear music.

True, it sounds super gimmicky, and terribly "futuristic" but I can say that I have never had such a fun sound experience in the past, and I will expand on that later.

The second point struck strangely in the headphones, is the way the user wears the headphones, and they are the first hybrid headphones I have come across in my life. This means that they are both over the ear and over the ear at the same time.

The headphone engineers went for the hybrid structure to incorporate the hearing test mechanism that must go through the device sitting inside the user's ears, and also in a way that enhances the sound experience, as the design allows Nuraphone to separate the headphone driver into two separate speakers, one for high and medium frequencies (Twitter) , And one for the low frequencies and bass (subwoofer), and the two speakers meet together inside the silicon channel that goes into the ear, creating a completely powerful simple sound experience.

Headphone design

Aesthetically, the headphones look simply superb, the headphones combine metal in most parts of the headphones with high-quality silicone, so there is no visible plastic, which is good due to the rather high price of the headphones. The headphone pads are made of terrible quality silicone, which is padded inside with a kind of pads that are quite flexible and comfortable for the ear.

Despite the quality materials of the headphones, when we move to the inside of the ear pads, where we find the silicone tip that goes into our ear, I must say that the first times I wore the headphones on my head, it took me a while to find the perfect spot where the headphones sit properly.

The silicone adapter that comes attached to the headphones in a rather odd way is the largest adapter found in the package, and also the medium adapter is significantly larger than any "medium" adapter I have tried in my life.

I finally went for the smallest size, and after a few tries and adjustments I was able to find the point where I was able to ignore the unique (even weird) hit "penetration" effect, and now I can put the headphones on without interruption.

In terms of headphone packaging we will get an Alcantara fabric case that is pleasant to the touch, but quite delicate and not very protective (except scratches), charging cable + AUX cable to connect the headphones analogously to any selected sound source, and of course in a separate package (plus payment) we can find the cable Excellent gaming.

So after I touched on the design of the headphones, it was time to expand on why these headphones have become my favorite headphones, for music, movies, gaming and everything else.

The headphones that adapt themselves to you

Once the user puts the headset on his head for the first time, he must connect the headset to a mobile device using Bluetooth, and then open the unique Nuraphone app. On screen we will get an explanation of the sound test we need to perform in order to adjust the headphones to our ear. After the user adjusts the position of the headphones on his head, the hearing test will begin, and will take him about two minutes to complete.

At the end, the user hears a song that the company has chosen, and first the song will play under the neutral sound signature setting of the headphones, which sounds completely generic (and even dull and not so high quality) but after about 15 seconds the user is exposed to the custom setting button, and I must tell you, despite the cynicism I went to the test with her, and after quite a few videos that I saw that illustrate the surprise of the users - I was just amazed too.

Suddenly the song sounds completely different, everything sounds much clearer, the mediocre sounds sound so pleasant and not creaking, and the bass, oh the bass, just is out of this world.

If you are a bass fan, but the craziest headphones you will ever hear.

Just like that.

After listening to a song playing at the end, I switched to hearing a few songs in my playlist, and again I just could not believe what I was hearing.

In addition, if you are an Android user, the headphones support the advanced Bluetooth encoding - APTX HD that allows you to stream HI-RES sound files to the headphones almost completely, which manages to provide a sound experience that is almost completely close to listening with a cable.

So how does all this relate to gaming you ask?

At Nura, the headphones have been designed so that the user settings made in the app are kept on the headphones even in analog listening mode (with a cable), so that when we connect the unique gaming cable, we can have the powerful and unique sound experience, even during gameplay. And let me tell you, when I connected the Nuraphone to a computer with the gaming cable, the amazing and unique sound signature felt was fully felt.

Every explosion sounds like it came out of a Michael Bay movie, every ball, and every step sounds so clear and distinct, and friends claim they have never heard my voice so clearly and distinctly, that they asked if I had bought an external microphone.

Although the headphones do not provide the option to run a software surround sound mode like the other gaming headphones on the market, the Nuraphone surpasses this with a rather impressive listening platform, and the quality of drivers is so simple that they simply provide a clean and high-quality experience. .

If we combine this with the option to activate the rather impressive noise isolation mode that simply eliminates any external sound that might interfere with the game experience, it is a sound experience that really puts you into the battlefield.

So after all the paragons, the Nuraphone are also not a perfect product, and although I was able to find the comfort point with I still think they require a period of adjustment.

In addition, the headphones are not charged with a USB-C cable, or even a micro USB connection, but the headphones use a custom connection, so if we accidentally lost the charging cable, we are obligated to buy another cable.

And for dessert, the price

The Nuraphone are not cheap headphones at all.

The headphones are supposed to provide the best sound experience, and impressive technology, and I can say with full mouth that they are indeed the highest quality headphones I have ever used (compared to the famous Sony XM3, or the excellent ARCTIS PRO + DAC).

So when I take all this into account, the headphones do justify their very high price, and this is a real investment for anyone looking for one pair of headphones to use for all their needs: on the way to work, office, plane, while playing, and during zoom calls to work.

In conclusion

The Nuraphone gave me a real emotional experience.

The headphones simply amazed me with the sound quality they provide, the fact that they serve me as wireless headphones while listening to music, on the go, or when I take them with me to the office, and then become gaming monsters as soon as I connect them to my computer or game consoles.

It has made them an integral tool of my daily life, and I do not see myself managing to go back to my previous headphones (anyone interested in purchasing a Sony XM3 second hand?).

It is true that this is a real investment, which may not be suitable for every pocket, but if you are looking for the best headphones, which adapts itself to any listening, these are the unequivocal headphones for you.
