The General Company for Railways in Aleppo annually produces seven thousand prefabricated concrete poles for the electrical network within the factories designated for the construction of railways and the production of girders for the extension of railway networks and switches for changing network lines.
Engineer Muhammad Al-Omar, the company’s general manager, said in a statement to SANA reporter that there are several production centers affiliated with the company, especially in Aleppo and Homs, according to the reality of the railways, pointing out that the products of the rotary shafts factory meet the requirements of electrical companies in Syria, and soon a factory will be equipped to produce concrete beams in Aleppo and install them instead of The wooden beams are to be a supplement to the girders production plant in Homs, which also contains four crushers to secure the basalt stone.
Al-Omar added that the company is carrying out the work of extending and completing the railways for the main lines and branches, and the works of the railway linking Aleppo to Damascus have been completed, and the Tishreen thermal station branch is implemented in the Al-Dameer area. It constitutes a quarter of the production capacity of the plant, which can be increased to produce 24 thousand columns.
In turn, Engineer Hossam Al-Ghazali, plant manager, explained that the production of columns goes through three stages, the first includes preparing the wires and installing them on the production lines, then tightening and wrapping them in a spiral, and then the stage of pouring the concrete through the central mount. The stage of processing columns begins with steam by furnaces.
