Also this year there is a lot to do in Schäftlarn.

Planned projects include residential construction on Auenstrasse, renovation of the staircase connecting Starnberger Strasse and road maintenance.

Refurbishment of Zechstrasse

At the top of the list is the renovation of Zechstrasse.

"Currently, in the area of the Heilandskirche, it's more of a rumble track," judges Mayor Christian Fürst.

It was last expanded around 2005/2006.

But only in the area of Hohenschäftlarn.

An extension of the sidewalk would also be desirable.

However, this is not the only one where tar machines would have to roll on.

"There are more candidates in the municipal area who urgently need to be brought into shape," says Fürst.

environment and energy

Environmental policy is an important topic.

Among other things, a day of the tree is planned again, as well as an information day on energy and heat.

Community facilities - from residential buildings to sewage treatment plants - are also being examined to see how energy can be saved.

"Our new climate protection manager, Eva Kellner, and the Ebersberg-Munich Energy Agency, which the community has joined, are on hand to advise us."

Schäftlarn is examining various options for producing energy itself.

A photovoltaic system is now to be installed on the roof of the building yard.

Possibilities and locations should also be examined in order to be able to generate energy yourself, for example using photovoltaics on areas along the motorway.

It is already certain that the building yard will get a system on the roof.

“We have earmarked 150,000 euros here in the budget.” Now voices were raised that could also imagine one for the adjacent Hohenschäftlarn fire department equipment house.

"The question arises as to whether we really need it, apart from the financial outlay, or to be more precise, whether we actually use the electricity," explains Fürst.

Because even if electricity could be produced and transported to another place of consumption with considerable effort, the “network operator would also collect.

That's not very interesting for us yet."

industrial Estate

Business is also in focus.

"It would be nice if we could designate a small commercial area with good transport connections." There was even the idea of relocating the sports facilities on Wangener Weg and having the commercial area bordering on here.

"It looks pretty good on the plan," says the mayor, "but I also need land and money to build the sports facilities again.

And we don't have either." And: "Why does an industrial park have to be on the outskirts of Hohenschäftlarn in the direction of the motorway?

Why not at Neufahrn?”

ring road

And then there is the never-ending story surrounding the ring road. In the citizens' meeting, Fürst had to report a "standstill". In order to initiate the necessary species protection investigation, safety fences would have to be set up. "But not all landowners have given us permission." This made it impossible to erect the fences in February 2022. "In principle, we are now losing a whole year."

Fürst supports the route in the variant for which the majority of Schäftlarners voted in a referendum.

"But I can also understand those who criticize that she walks down the hall.

Here are biotopes, agricultural areas, it is our local recreation area.” On the other hand, a road could never have run through the forest due to the applicable nature conservation regulations.

"We can only try to push them to the edge of the forest within the planning corridor as far as possible."

The people of Schäftlarner have long been plagued by through traffic.

But it will probably be years before the bypass road is built.

In the meantime, the preliminary investigations and planning have devoured around 450,000 euros. "We can't just throw that in the trash can." But maybe there is another way to use at least some of the work results. “At the back of the autobahn near Schorn, a high-voltage line crosses the forest. Perhaps one could use a section of the Milky Way and this aisle.” The bypass starts further down the corridor and then runs in a large arc in the direction of B11. "So she wouldn't touch the hallway at all in the front part."

In 2013, the Schäftlarner bypass was classified as 1R (reserve), the Free State has not yet made any plans of its own, the municipality is planning special construction work.

"If the Free State takes the planning into its own hands, there is a risk that the route will be run purely for economic reasons - i.e. as short as possible and with the least amount of space.

"And that would then go even closer to town through the corridor".

For Fürst, the fact is that the residents of Starnberger Strasse should not be left alone.

"We can't put this off until tomorrow."

festivals

At the end of May 2022, the Almrösl Hohenschäftlarn traditional costume association wants to celebrate its 100th birthday and at the same time host the 93rd Loisach-Gaufest.

The patron: Christian Fürst.

“That would be a great signal for a normal carefree life.

I really hope that it can take place.

You can't just move something like that.

There is too much preparatory work involved.”

Has big plans for this year: Mayor Christian Fürst.
