Former member of parliament Andreas Wagner found a sticker in his mailbox that threatened violence against leftists.
Now the police are investigating.
Geretsried – Andreas Wagner, who represented the left in the Bundestag in the past legislative period, found a sticker in his private mailbox on Friday evening that said “Good Night Left Side”. The statement calls for violence against leftists. "Since such stickers are distributed by the violent neo-Nazi scene, I filed a criminal complaint with the police that same evening," said the Geretsrieder in an e-mail to our newspaper. In the case, the Kripo Weilheim is now investigating, confirmed press spokesman Stefan Sonntag when asked.
Wagner suspects that the incident was a reaction to his opinion about the unannounced "walks" by opponents of the Corona measures, which he had announced in a letter to the editor in our newspaper, among other things.
Wagner warned against the instrumentalization of the protest marches by right-wing extremists and conspiracy ideologies.
Before the unsolicited mail, there were anonymous calls.
Wagner: "I take this incident seriously, but I don't want to overrate it.
The following applies: Any attempt to intimidate others.
is unacceptable.”
