After finding a woman's body in the forest near Berg, the police are investigating at full speed.

The area was further searched on Tuesday - but new findings are hardly known.

Berg

– After a dead woman was found in the forest east of Berg, the police and prosecutors are reluctant to provide details.

Andrea Mayer, spokeswoman for the Munich II public prosecutor's office, explained yesterday in response to a request from Starnberger Merkur for "tactical reasons of investigation".

There is also “currently no call for witnesses”.

A police spokesman said meanwhile, the Kripo Fürstenfeldbruck is investigating very intensively and is trying to match missing persons cases.

How long the dead had been lying in the forest cannot yet be pinpointed.

Since she was already partially skeletonized, the time of death must have been "a while" ago.

A homicide cannot be ruled out.

That leaves the status of Monday, which is: On Sunday afternoon, the dog of walkers in the forest found the partially skeletonized body of a woman – initially there were rumors in Berg that it was a child. Investigators examined the site and the surrounding area for several hours into Monday night. The area was also searched with a drone and dogs. The body was autopsied in Munich – but the results are not known. The identity of the victim - the Kripo assumes a "non-natural death" - is unclear. There have been no reports of missing persons in the district in recent times.

Right next to the area, which the police continued to search yesterday with more than 50 officers, is a training area for the Starnberg DLRG rescue dog squadron.

However, the volunteers have not practiced there with their search dogs since September 10, as squad leader Jürgen Römmler said on request.

The rescue dog squadron practices the search for missing people there in the summer months, the search for corpses on land is not their field of activity.

Nevertheless, Römmler is almost certain that the dogs would have found a body in the forest during the exercises.

There were “no abnormalities” in the previous training sessions.
