Did law enforcement get their hands on a big fish?
For the past few days, four individuals aged 25 to 38 have been sleeping in prison awaiting a hearing at the Versailles court.
They are accused of having stolen, on the night of July 1 to 2, 2021, numerous parts from vehicles parked in an underground car park in Vélizy-Villacoublay, including bumpers, hoods and license plates.
The investigation is carried out by the Versailles urban security property crime group.
A drop of blood and a jack found on the spot after the thefts, near a deboned car, initially made it possible to carry out DNA tests leading to the identification of a profile already listed in the file. National Automated DNA Test.
Suspects confused thanks to their cell phones and videos
The viewing of the CCTV cameras also made it possible to identify three suspicious vehicles near the underground car park.
Placed under surveillance, they led the investigators to the four individuals.

The exploitation of other video tapes and the suspects' telephones led to the connection between these people and similar thefts of accessories and vehicles perpetrated almost everywhere in the Yvelines between November 2019 and July 2021. The total damage was estimated at more than 233,000 euros.
A submachine gun seized
Arrested on January 10, the homes of the protagonists were searched.
In two of them, narcotics and weapons were found.
One of them notably held two rifles, one of which was loaded, a 9 mm submachine gun, but also cannabis resin, grass and crack.
During their hearings, the respondents partially acknowledged their involvement, admitting to having worked together on several occasions and having already committed this type of act.
All four have been remanded in custody pending trial.
