The prohibition catalog is long at the lake facilities in Schondorf am Ammersee.
"Would have been shorter to simply write what is allowed at all," says a Facebook user - and has received broad approval.
Schondorf - Let's list what you are not allowed to do at the lake facilities in Schondorf am Ammersee: leaving rubbish behind, driving and parking motor vehicles, camping or staying overnight, setting off fireworks, barbecuing and open fire, celebrating parties, walking dogs without a leash , increased music and excessive noise, cycling.
From 10 p.m. you are not allowed on the lawn.
Of course, the question is allowed: What are you allowed to do here anyway?
A Facebook user photographed the sign and uploaded it to the "Ammersee - everything around the lake" group.
His comment: "Would have been shorter to simply write what is allowed at all."
Ammersee: prohibition sign is ridiculed on Facebook
Monday's post then received a lot of approval. The commentators amused themselves full of irony and sarcasm, which is still allowed at Ammersee (district of Landsberg am Lech). "Wild peeing is also not forbidden," wrote one, "Allowed: standing, kneeling, sitting, lying, walking, breathing, looking, listening, photographing, picking your nose, speaking softly...", another. A woman could only sigh and wish "the 90s" back. Last but not least, one stated: "You have to see it positively, crawling around and eating earthworms is still allowed".
But what is the background to the shield?
Why did Schondorf am Ammersee need such an extensive prohibited list?
Mayor Alexander Herrmann knows the reasons.
The sign has been up for a few years.
"We used to have quite a few problems around the lake complex with the Seepost and youth parties taking place there." The young people celebrated and drank at the lake before and after the actual party.
"Some citizens didn't feel so comfortable with it."
Mayor of Schondorf am Ammersee: lake complex for some almost "sacrosanct"
The municipal council has expanded the old statutes to include points that actually “belong to normal cooperation” – but which many would no longer voluntarily comply with today. "For example, not just lighting a campfire by the lake." He himself believes that one or the other ban might not have been necessary. But the lake complex is downright "sacrosanct" in the municipal council. “Some want a promenade like in the 1920s. See and be seen and then go home for lunch. But we now live in a different world.” Nevertheless, one has to say: “We already had everything that was banned there,” says Herrmann. And you can't just accept that.
Various rules apply to Upper Bavaria's lakes.
At Staffelsee, for example, a new prohibited list has been drawn up, at Tegernsee the treatment of leisure guests is different again.
