After the "Green Sun" festival had to be canceled for two years due to the corona pandemic, it is to take place again this year.

If everything goes according to plan, numerous festival visitors from near and far will flock to Hohen Peißenberg on June 25th.

Hohenpeißenberg – The “Green Sun” festival is considered the music event with probably the most beautiful panoramic view in Bavaria. Since 2014, it has attracted many - especially young visitors - to the Hohen Peißenberg. Not only the venue with the grandiose view was a crowd puller, but also the names of the DJs who played there: Big names of the international and national electro scene brought the "Green Sun" up the mountain every year. Most recently, in June 2019, around 3,000 festival-goers flocked to Hohen Peißenberg to enjoy music, dance and have fun together. Then came the corona pandemic and two years followed in which no bass boomed from the mountain to the valley.

This year, if possible, the "Green Sun" should shine again on the Hoher Peißenberg. Organizer Philipp Falkner is in good spirits that it will work out again this year: "We hope so and we assume so." Since the festival is only designed for 3000 visitors anyway, the chances are good that it can also take place. It may look different for larger events, says the Peißenberger.

If the corona situation and the regulations allow it by then, the "Green Sun" festival should start on June 25 at 11:30 a.m. Some internationally renowned DJs from the electro scene have already confirmed. One of them has known Hohen Peißenberg since he was a child: Acid Pauli aka Martin Gretschmann comes from the district and has played in “The Notwist”, among other things. In addition, "D-Nox & Beckers", "Drumcomplex", "Miyagi", "Northern Lite" and "Technasia" will be DJing. There are even tickets for the "Green Sun" festival, which was sold out in other years within a short time.

Falkner is looking forward to the Hohe Peißenberg being the meeting place for the electro scene again for one day at the end of June.

Because the public had to do without events of this kind for so long, the "Green Sun" will certainly be a very special experience this year, he says.

"Everyone was in standby mode for two years." It's high time something like this was possible again: "Finally listening to loud music again in a relaxed mood and being among other people," says Falkner.
