Prince Charles is said to be hoping for a visit from Prince Harry and his family

A royal source now wants to know that this wasn't the only accommodation made by Prince Charles.

An insider told the

Mirror

newspaper .

Prince Charles is said to have invited Prince Harry, his wife Duchess Meghan and their two children Lilibet Diana and Archie to London.

Neither Prince Charles nor the Queen have been able to personally meet the daughter of the exile royals.

Archie was last with his British family when he was six months old.

Therefore, the Prince of Wales is said to have expressed a desire to spend time with his grandchildren.

The insider has now revealed that the 73-year-old has even offered to let the family live with him.

The offer of family reunification is said to have been made in the run-up to Christmas.

Prince Harry and Prince Charles reportedly back in phone calls

According to the

Mirror

, Prince Harry has had a number of "good-natured and pleasant" video calls with Prince Charles over the past few months.

The source said: "The Prince of Wales is saddened that he has not had the opportunity to spend time with his grandchildren who he really misses.

He's a fantastic grandfather and loves his role very much, and it's fair to say he feels something is missing in his life by not having the opportunity to meet Harry's children." : "So he has offered Harry, Meghan and the kids to stay with him if they want, whenever they come home for a period of time."

Prince Charles sets a white flag, but Prince Harry sends a lawsuit

But Prince Charles' well-intentioned plan to help bridge the rift between himself and his son is now more at stake than ever.

Because Prince Harry recently announced that he did not feel safe enough in Great Britain, demanded police protection from Scotland Yard.

However, the Interior Ministry refused, which is why a lawsuit is now pending.

The Queen is said to be upset.

So not a good start for a reparation visit.

It was previously thought that Harry and Meghan would strive to attend the Queen's Platinum Jubilee events in June.

Prince Harry is also said to have told family members that he will attend the memorial service for his late grandfather, Prince Philip, at Westminster Abbey, scheduled for April.

Will the planned home visits take place?

Completely unclear at the moment.

However , sources said to be close to Charles have reportedly told the

Mirror

that Charles and Harry are now on a "journey of rediscovery".
