The theatrical show “The Shark and the Kingdom of the Sea” simulates the writing and directing of a new diet for the child’s world and imagination through characters of creatures coming from the sea world such as mermaids, turtles and sharks within an idea that warns of the danger of neglect that we can practice against those around us and the negative feelings that may result from it that he may exploit Strangers to bad ends.
The performance presented by the Center for Theatrical Performing Arts at Dar Al-Assad Theater for Culture in Latakia, within the Children’s Theater Festival, which is held by the Ministry of Culture during the middle holiday, comes as a product of a training workshop on the foundations of theater based on presenting a set of hypotheses related to the sea and its objects to the child with humanitarian projections in an attempt to present a new vision According to the writer and director of the work.
In a statement to SANA's reporter, Jadeed pointed out the importance of having a theater festival for children, with the need to present continuous performances regardless of festivals, because theater plays a role and importance in directing and motivating a child's imagination and mind in a way that respects his mind because he is intelligent and creative. We have to learn creativity from him.
The protagonists of the Shark and Sea Kingdom show were children and adolescents, ages 6 to 15, to bring the work closer to the child's mentality and personality on the one hand, and to learn the details of the theater by standing on the stage, its purpose and importance on the other hand.
Lana Khadra, 13, participating in the show, expressed her happiness to stand on stage and in front of the audience, which gives her self-confidence and the ability to express herself in different ways through the characters she plays, which gives her energy and the ability to innovate.
The Children's Theater Festival in Lattakia, which attracts a large number of children and their families, continues through the theatrical show Cinderella on Friday and Saturday.
