In order to prevent complaints, Herrsching's head of the building department, Guido Finster, had already warned in October last year that clearing would be required for the construction of a footpath and cycle path to the planned children's home on Fendlbach.
To date, the trees are standing, but the complaints have followed quickly.
At the building committee meeting on Monday, Finster announced a new attempt.
Herrsching -
After extensive investigations, a total of 15 trees are to be felled in the next few days.
Time is of the essence, because the measure must be completed by February in accordance with the Federal Nature Conservation Act.
The construction of the cycle path is already stipulated in the development plan for the new children's home. After a small change, this series of maps was finally dealt with on Monday. As reported, a right of way meant that the footpath and cycle path from Oberer Stocketweg cannot run along the forest, but must lead along the property line to the police station via Rieder Straße. The section behind the police building alone is overgrown, which is why in the end it wasn't just cut down, but after a lot of criticism, an expert report was commissioned.
The covering and base layer are applied to the existing floor surface with a pressure-distributing fleece.
In this way, only the turf would have to be removed.
Seven more trees must give way, which are on the border between the police and municipal property, where the bike path now has to lead south towards Rieder Straße and along the busy state road due to the old usage rights. Finster announced that the neighbors had already approved the measures. "Only the confirmation from the police is still missing." This is probably due to the last many public holidays, he suspected. The path is also equipped with lanterns that allow partial dimming. Motion detectors, as suggested by Gerd Mulert (Green Party), are too expensive. The committee approved the measures for the construction of the footpath and cycle path, as well as the statutory resolution of the development plan and the building application for the seven-group children's home that followed immediately. So let's get started.
