Sixteen people were injured in a traffic accident on the Salamiyah-Athria highway in the eastern Hama countryside.
A source in Hama Governorate Police said in a statement to SANA reporter that a minibus carrying passengers, “Service”, ran aground and overturned on the side of the road near the town of Wadi Al-Atheeb, east of Salamiyah, due to bad weather, heavy rain, and the driver’s lack of attention, which led to the injury of 16 people. of varying severity.
For his part, the director of Salamiyah National Hospital stated that 16 injured people were taken to the hospital after the accident, and that the injuries ranged from light, medium and serious, and among the injured were 3 children, where the medical and ambulance staff provided the necessary treatment for them.
