The actor reveals in a new interview that his frontal nudity scene in the movie "Nightmare Alley" was no easy task for him • "It required us to be both mentally and spiritually naked"

Bradley Cooper revealed:

The gnarled actor recently told in an interview with the podcast "The Business" that his frontal nudity scene in the psychological thriller "Nightmare Alley" may have delighted quite a few viewers, but for him it was not a simple experience.

"I remember thinking to myself 'wow, that's pretty heavy' and it was still Tony Colette's first day on the set," Cooper said of the scene which was admittedly short, but to shoot it perfectly, he had to walk around the set completely naked in front of the entire crew for six Hours.

"I remember telling myself that this was a necessary scene for the authenticity of the story and I had to do it," the 47-year-old Cooper said.

Surprisingly, this frontal nudity scene is the first time Cooper has agreed to fully expose his hidden organs to the world.

The hottest scene in the bath between Cooper's character and that of actress Tony Colette was, as mentioned, actually the first time the two met on the set on her first day.

"Because of the content of the film and what it was meant to convey, in order to do it in the most real way it required us to be naked both mentally and spiritually," he said.

In an interview with the Deadline website in November, the actor said that the role of Stanton Carlisle in the film frightened him for many reasons, but by the end of the filming he already felt a connection to the character.

"The idea of playing the character of someone who does not know who he is and is in constant search of his identity throughout the entire film until the last scene, led me to think of maybe this is where I am in my life as an actor and as a person," he said.

"It was important to go for it without fear and with courage."

"Nightmare Alley" is an American psychological thriller directed by Guillermo del Toro that was released in 2021 and stars Cooper, the esteemed actresses Tony Colette and Cate Blanchett and William Defoe.
