The Unterföhringer swimming club has complained about the behavior of the municipal administration.

Now the mayor stands in front of his town hall employees.

Unterfoehring

- He was "pissed off", said Mayor Andreas Kemmelmeyer (PWU) at the beginning of the municipal council meeting. In an article in the Münchner Merkur, the chairwoman of the Unterfoehringer swimming club criticized the municipal administration, which, in her opinion, had done too little for the swimmers who wanted to book times for swimming courses in the movement pool of the senior center: the discussions with the administration and with the Förderverein Soziale Services (FSD) were a disappointment from the point of view of the swimming club. The FSD suddenly offered additional hours of aqua fitness at times that would have been important for SV Unterföhring. The swimming coaches are employed and can only hold their courses in the evening. To make matters worse, that the water temperature could not be raised from 29 degrees to the 32 degrees necessary for the children within one day. "In the end, it's no longer just about the matter for us, but also about the tone that the municipal administration struck - it was rude and disrespectful," said Chairwoman Elisabeth Rupprecht.

Kemmelmeyer defends his administration, above all the accusation that the tone was "rude and disrespectful", he rejects.

The administration tried to give the swimming club times in the exercise pool: "But you have to be willing to make compromises."

Kemmelmeyer's warning: "Every club that tries to do politics on the back of the local government must dress warmly."

The club has now stopped sports and deleted the homepage.

The decision of the municipal council not to build the sports park and thus the indoor pool hit the club hard in November.

As a result, attempts were made to offer children's swimming courses in the exercise pool.

When this was not feasible, the dissolution followed.
