To protest the UN's disregard for road terrorism, Arden presented the Security Council with a stone that demonstrates the stones being thrown by Palestinians at Israeli vehicles. The international community is facing a crossroads "

The Security Council held a discussion today (Wednesday) on the Middle East, focusing on the Palestinian issue.

During the hearing, Israel's ambassador to the UN, Gilad Ardan, presented the Security Council with a heavy stone that demonstrates the stones thrown daily by Palestinians at Israeli vehicles.

Representatives of the countries' foreign ministers were invited to the hearing, at the initiative of Norway, which currently serves as president of the Security Council.

Accordingly, the debate was chaired by Norway's Foreign Minister and was attended by Palestinian Foreign Minister Riyad al-Maliki and other foreign ministers.

During the discussion, Ambassador Ardan sharply criticized the Security Council's bias, and in particular its disregard for Palestinian terrorist incidents, and in particular - the Council's utter disregard for Palestinian stone terrorism.

In the meantime, Arden presented the participants with a heavy stone to illustrate what was happening on the roads of Judea and Samaria and East Jerusalem, asked them how they would react if they were thrown at their vehicle, and clarified that these were life-threatening weapons.

He also reacted strongly to the Palestinian Foreign Minister's accusations of violence against Israel and presented the Palestinian terror data for 2021. Ambassador Ardan slammed the Palestinian ambassador for never condemning terrorism, noting to the Council the fact that the Palestinian Authority does not condemn terrorist incidents and killings. The terrorists and continues to praise them and pay them salaries.

In addition, Arden referred to the evacuation of the invaders from Sheikh Jarrah tonight and criticized the international community that embraces the false narrative that the Palestinians are spreading.

The ambassador also addressed the issue of the Iranian nuclear issue and the talks taking place in Vienna.

In his opening remarks, he expressed his condolences to the United Arab Emirates and India on the loss of human life caused by the Iranian-sponsored Houthi attack, and clarified to the Council that Iran is an exporter of terrorism that endangers security in the Middle East and the world.

Ambassador Arden's remarks at the Council: "There is a kind of attack, which for some reason is not mentioned in the UN reports and is not presented here to the Council.

Attacks with stones - not small stones - but rocks like the one thrown at Israelis in their cars, on buses.

But the world says nothing.

Would you consider it a terrorist attack if such a stone were thrown at your car while you were driving home?

Or when your kids are in the car?

This is exactly the type of attack that claimed the lives of the late four-year-old Adele Bitton, and many others. "

Arden continued: "When the Palestinians see the support and respect their leaders give to terrorists, they clearly see that terrorism pays off. The PA continues to pay the terrorists' salaries - in a 'pay to kill' policy which means the more Jewish blood you shed, the more money you and your family will receive."

The ambassador also referred to the evacuation of the invaders in Sheikh Jarrah tonight and said: "The Palestinians are taking every opportunity to distort reality to escalate the situation, while the international community is embracing their version. What is happening now in Sheikh Jarrah is a prime example: a family stealing land for their own needs "While those lands were allocated to build a school for children with special needs. This is a municipal issue that has gone through all the legal proceedings including a court decision, but the Palestinians still choose to use it, and the council's anti-Israel response serves only their political needs."

Regarding Iran, Ambassador Arden said: "The Houthi terrorist act in the Emirates a few days ago, which claimed lives, was under the auspices of Iran, as were most of the terrorist acts carried out in the region. While talks in Vienna reach a critical stage, the international community is at a crossroads."

The Yesha Council's response to Ambassador Arden's Security Council statement: "We thank and strengthen our UN Ambassador Gilad Ardan for presenting the true and correct picture in the Security Council today. In recent weeks, IDF data on a 38% increase in incidents of Arab violence against "IDF soldiers and Israelis. The world must understand that Arab violence is a major threat and a serious blow to innocent civilians, and any attempt to ignore the harsh reality is pure anti-Semitism."
