Arabic, Latin and jazz pieces reflect the joy and harmony of the Sham rhythmic group

As usual, the Sham Rhythmic Orchestra, led by musician Ali Ahmed, tries every evening it revives to spread an energy of joy to connoisseurs of percussion music, which it dedicated today on the drama stage at Dar Al-Assad for Culture and Arts.

In the evening, in which academic performers Dalameh Shehab on the saxophone and Kamal Skiker on the oud participated, Sham presented a group of works with different musical styles.

The pieces that were presented reflected the development of the orchestra in terms of technical level and its focus on the performance of the players and the presentation of academic music in addition to the technical implementation and musical diversity that the audience touched.

The evening program included 12 pieces of modern, Arabic, Latin and jazz musical genres. For the first time, the orchestra presented a piece of music entitled “Matar” written by Skiker dedicated to Sham Rhythmic.

The Sham Percussion Group includes a number of academic and professional percussionists, including professors, graduates and students from the Higher Institute of Music and was founded in 2013 by Ali Ahmed with the aim of spreading the concept of academic and professional percussion through various percussion works. Over the years of the war, the group presented a number of concerts in temporary residence centers within Psychological support project for children. She also participated in concerts at the Opera House and Damascus Citadel.
