The mayor of Halle an der Saale remains suspended from duty.
That was decided by the Higher Administrative Court in Magdeburg.
It rejected Bernd Wiegand's appeal against the provisional suspension.
Provisional impeachment in June 2021
Disciplinary proceedings are underway against Wiegand because last year he is said to have violated the vaccination order that was in force at the time.
The non-party politician had admitted that, contrary to the prioritization, he had already received a vaccination against the corona virus in January 2021.
Several city councilors and members of the disaster management team have also been vaccinated.
The state administration office of Saxony-Anhalt temporarily relieved him of his office in June last year.
The city council had temporarily forbidden Wiegand to continue his official business in April.
On the other hand, he sued unsuccessfully.
In December, the Magdeburg Administrative Court also rejected his application to have the State Administration Office overturn his dismissal.
The complaint against it has now also been rejected.
