Previously unknown perpetrators broke into the Raiffeisenbank in the Eurasburg district of Beuerberg.
The Kripo is examining connections with similar burglaries in the region.
Beuerberg – Previously unknown perpetrators entered the main office of the Raiffeisenbank Beuerberg-Eurasburg on Klosterstrasse on Wednesday night.
According to the police, the burglars did not make any booty, the Weilheim Kripo has taken over the investigation.
According to the current state of knowledge, the perpetrators levered open a window. Raiffeisenbank employees noticed this on Wednesday morning before starting work. When checking the crime scene, the police found that the uninvited guests in the branch had not caused any property damage - nothing was stolen. "The burglars may have been disturbed and therefore refrained from further investigating the crime," said Stefan Sonntag, spokesman for the Oberbayern Süd police headquarters in Rosenheim. Criminal police investigators secured traces that are now being evaluated. In addition, the officials rely on tips from the population: Anyone who noticed anything suspicious between Tuesday, 7:30 p.m. and Wednesday, 6:30 a.m. in the area of the bank branch on Klosterstrasse is asked to call 08 81/64 00.
Similar acts in the Weilheim-Schongau district in December
The Kripo is examining possible connections with similar cases in the region.
On Boxing Day, the bank branch in the Hohenfurch town hall (Weilheim-Schongau district) was the target of burglars.
They managed to escape, but empty-handed.
The Schongau police suspect that it was the same perpetrators who visited a bank branch in the municipality of Prem (Weilheim-Schongau) on the night of December 15th.
They climbed into the bank's offices through an unlocked window.
In this case, too, the burglars made no prey, according to the police.
