Eittinger comrades mourn the loss of a long-running fire brigade

The fire brigade Eitting without Holger Maier?
Hardly conceivable, because the Eittinger had been an active comrade since he was 16 years old.
He remained loyal to the military for 36 years.
Maier has now passed away at the age of 52.
Eitting – The news of Maier's death spread like wildfire among the district defense forces. Because "Holli", as he was called, was not only a firefighter himself. He was also involved in the exercises and especially in the field of youth fire brigade and their training - also beyond Eitting. For example, Maier was an instructor in district fire chief district 2/2. He was also involved in the acceptance of the performance mark as a referee. Due to his calm and level-headed manner, he was in great demand here. He also helped with chainsaw training and was involved with the local operations management support group for some time.
From 2005 to 2018, the master electrician held various positions in the district of Erding. Among other things, he was caretaker at the Korbinian-Aigner-Gymnasium. His knowledge as an electrician was also in demand when equipping schools with whiteboards. Here Maier had also worked in the project team. He also carried out the electrical equipment test.
“Holger was a firefighter through and through.
He knew how to pass on his knowledge to young people, organized exercises, training courses and took part in further training courses at district level.
As a master electrician, he was involved in the expansion of the fire station in 2001 as well as in the procurement of vehicles such as the GW-L2 in 2019. Holger also loved social life.
A cozy chat with friends or talking shop with fire brigade buddies was just as much a part of it as maintaining the sponsorship with the Wilsenroth fire brigade,” describes Sebastian Hintermaier, Vice Chairman of the fire brigade.
Maier was also often to be found at the kiosk at Kronthaler Weiher.
Many friends and companions will accompany him on his last journey.
The date for the burial of the urn had not yet been set at the time of going to press.
