As the police and the community announced on Wednesday, a previously unknown perpetrator damaged a total of seven window panes in the sports center.

According to Chief Police Officer Helmut Hintereder, it is not yet possible to say whether stones were used for this, as in previous cases.

However, it can be assumed "that this was the same perpetrator" as with the previous stone-throwing since the beginning of the year, according to the head of the Poing police inspection.

According to a statement from the municipality of Poing, the crimes at the sports center happened last weekend, January 14th to 16th.

Two large windows were damaged from the outside in the triple hall, and five panes in the area of ​​the arcade leading to the changing rooms in the pavilion opposite.

According to the first assessment, the total damage is around 5000 euros.


Municipality of Poing offers a reward

The municipality of Poing has offered a reward of up to 200 euros for relevant information leading to the arrest of the perpetrator.

Three more cases in Poing since the beginning of January

Already on January 2 (on Birkenallee), on January 5 (Anton-Zwengauer-Weg) and on January 6 (Nibelungenweg) a total of four windows were smashed with stones on three houses in Poing.

During the crime in Birkenallee, around 11:10 p.m., a local resident caught the perpetrator, but he was able to escape.

According to the witness, he was wearing a red hooded jacket and blue jeans.

According to the police, the damage to the three houses totaled around 2,400 euros.

The police suspect that it is one and the same perpetrator.
