The employee of a vaccination center in Munster (Haut-Rhin) who had claimed to have been "
violently attacked
" by three people at the beginning of January admitted to having lied and was placed in police custody, announced Wednesday January 19 the parquet floor of Colmar.

Faced with a certain number of contradictions between the observations made and the complainant's statements, the latter was re-heard (Wednesday) morning and indicated that he had lied: he was not attacked but self-inflicted injuries which have been noted by the doctors
”, indicated in a press release the public prosecutor of Colmar, Catherine Sorita-Minard.
Placed in police custody for "
false denunciation of an imaginary crime
" - facts punishable by 6 months in prison and a fine of 7,500 euros - he indicated "
having injured himself voluntarily with the help of 'a syringe and a personal cutter (…) and by hitting himself with his fists on the thigh
, ”continued the magistrate. He explained his gesture "
by a malaise he feels
" and "
which would have prompted him to this staging
", according to Catherine Sorita-Minard. His police custody was lifted by the prosecutor who ordered "
a psychiatric expertise
" and "
a personality investigation, in order to be able to give this case the appropriate criminal consequences
", she indicated.
This man had claimed on January 8 to have been attacked when the Munster vaccination center closed, around 8:00 p.m.
A flagrant investigation for "
violence in a meeting with a weapon and with premeditation
" had been opened by the prosecution and entrusted to the research section of the Colmar gendarmerie.
The alleged attack had aroused strong emotion in the Munster valley and far beyond in France.
In a joint press release, the prefect of Haut-Rhin and the director general of the Regional Health Agency (ARS) of the Grand Est had denounced "
an unacceptable act
".
