A letter containing a bullet was delivered to the editorial office of the South Tyrolean newspaper in Bolzano. In the envelope, sent from Bolzano, was also found a letter written with the stencil with threats against the anti-Covid measures and the obligation of the Green pass. The scientific police intervened on the spot and carried out the first surveys.
The letter, signed by a self-styled no vax group called "We are the people," contains death threats from the entire editorial body and their families. Prime Minister Mario Draghi, virologists and the political class are accused of dividing "the Italian people between vaccinated and unvaccinated, by now you have exceeded the limit", it is written.
"We are sorry that doing our duty - which is to inform correctly, distinguishing the words of scientists from the impromptu opinions of those who see who knows what plots behind our work - produce similar manifestations of hatred, similar threats, similar poison. The country needs the opposite. Balance and trust. In science. In institutions. In the world of information.
We will continue our work as and more than ever. Without being intimidated. Without giving in. But we will watch our backs, seen. that there are those who try to hit us from behind ".
