Jezreel Valley College uploaded an advertising video to social media yesterday (Tuesday), in which a woman was portrayed as ignorant and barbaric.

Students of Oriental descent who did not like the idea contacted the college administration, demanding that the video be removed from the network, and when they did not respond, MK Itamar Ben Gvir (Religious Zionism) asked them to help.

The video, which shows the range of study options at the college, shows the woman as an Oriental who came with her son to complain about the field he chose to study - in this case, a data analyst - with violent behavior and threats to turn tables.

The video shows her turning to a guard at the college: "Can you tell who put options in my son's head? ... I wanted a lawyer kid (says 'more') and suddenly he has more options.

The woman is then seen saying to the college principal, "What shall I say to the girls in Parliament? That the child is a diet analyst?" .

Oz Shalom, a 24-year-old student from Beit She'an who is studying at the college, asked for explanations on behalf of his friends from the college administration, and when he did not answer, he turned to Ben Gvir yesterday.

"The college has released a racist marketing video," he wrote, "showing a woman of Oriental, barbaric and pragmatic descent. Not only does the college endanger our health every day, they also hurt our feelings and encourage the 'stupid Mizrahi' culture. Failed".

In response, Ben Gvir sent a letter to the Minister of Education, Yifat Shasha Bitton, and to the college's president, Prof. Yitzhak Harpaz, in which he wrote that "the video preserves stereotypes from the past, which are unworthy and have passed from the world.
