Netanyahu met with his lawyers;
Assessment: The chances of a deal are small
A meeting between Netanyahu and lawyer Boaz Ben-Zur took place at his offices on Fourth Street in Tel Aviv.
Last week it was estimated that the urgency of trying to reach a deal was due to the fact that Mandelblit would leave his post in a little over a week, and that it would be difficult to formulate a deal with the adviser who would replace him.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu met again with lawyer Boaz Ben-Zur at his office on Fourth Street in Tel Aviv.
According to estimates, the chances of a plea deal are diminishing.
Last week, it was reported that Netanyahu had asked former Supreme Court President Aharon Barak to mediate between him and Attorney General Avichai Mandelblit and the heads of the State Attorney's Office, in order to formulate a plea deal in his case.
Barak hesitated but agreed and contacts began with the counselor.
As far as is known, the gap between Netanyahu and the adviser has not been bridged in terms of the terms of the deal.
Barak himself said he was satisfied with his decision to mediate the deal.
It was estimated that the urgency of contacting the consultant was related to the fact that he would leave his post in a little over a week, and that signing such an agreement with the next consultant would be more difficult.

News of the deal ignited a fire in the political system.
Finance Minister Avigdor Lieberman said that this was "the big bang of Israeli politics."
The left-wing parties attacked the intention and on Saturday night the demonstrations resumed in front of Mandelblit's house in Petah Tikva, calling on the adviser to bring Netanyahu to justice.
Former Prime Minister Ehud Barak sharply attacked the fact that the adviser considered the deal and said that Mandelblit has no moral authority to sign such a deal, especially in the last two weeks of his tenure.
